Introducing: Thai Yoga Massage

Thai Yoga Massage is a form of bodywork that combines assisted yoga stretches with rhythmic massage of the entire body. The massage generally follows the sen lines (sen = energy) on the body. Thai Yoga Massage is received lying on a mat on the floor, and the client wears comfortable clothes that allow for movement. No oils are used. The client is put into many yoga-like positions (asanas) during the massage. The massage therapist leans on the client’s body using hands and forearms to apply firm rhythmic pressure. Legs and feet of the massage therapist can be used to fixate the body or limbs of the client. In other positions, hands fixate the body, while the feet do the massaging. Yoga & Massage are practices that create a mind-body unity; Thai Yoga Massage cleanses, restores and uplifts.
Ashiatsu Massage

Ashiatsu (Ashi means “foot” and atsu means “pressure”) is an ancient form of bodywork. The therapist supports herself with the assistance of bars suspended from the ceiling while using her feet to apply deep, luxurious compression strokes along the body. This technique allows the therapist to utilize gravity-assisted pressure using their body weight, while their feet glide effortlessly over the contours of the client’s body delivering a therapeutic deep tissue massage.

Hot Stone Massage

Chrissy Orzen, founder of SPAorganic, received her massage therapist license in 2005 from the Cleveland Institute of Medical Massage graduating top of her class. She is also a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. It was from a love of receiving the benefits of massage personally that inspired Chrissy to make this her profession. Being able to bring the art of massage – relaxation to the mind & body – is what drives Chrissy’s joy in her abilities. “Do what you love & love what you do” applies to her practice.
Chrissy’s specialty is “ashiatsu” massage – “ashi” means foot & “atsu” mean pressure. Ashiatsu is an ancient form of bodywork where the therapist uses her feet to perform the massage. Using her own body weight to deliver the pressure that the client desires. This avenue of massage is excellent for clients that prefer a deep tissue massage, but works just as well for relaxation. Chrissy is also certified in prenatal massage, hot stone massage, cancer massage & sports massage; as well as traditional Swedish massage.
Prior to moving to Chagrin Falls almost 2 years ago, Chrissy owned her own private practice/ C.spa in Willoughby, Ohio. Chrissy, her husband & three sons are loving it in Chagrin Falls. It is now “home.”
