Shaun has been studying and practicing Yoga since about the age of 12. His journey in Yoga started when he began to study martial arts at Hillcrest Academy of Martial Arts. He was very fortunate to study Goshin JuJitsu and have a foundation of meditation taught to him from such a young age. His studies of Yoga and spirituality continued with extensive reading and study from about the age of 15. He then was inspired by reading “Autobiography of a Yogi” by Paramahansa Yogananda, to get initiated in the Kriya Yoga tradition and lineage of great realized masters. He was initiated into this spiritual discipline at the age of 19 and has been practicing this form of meditation ever since. His background in martial arts also nourished his study of Chi Gong and the meditative disciplines of the Buddhist, Shaolin and Taoist sages. He feels that all of these disciplines compliment each other and can offer life lessons that can help one realize there unity with the Source.
Shaun is also a certified personal trainer and just recently received his Yoga Teacher Certification from Cleveland Yoga in May of 2010 in the Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga System. His classes offer an environment of challenge, self discovery, and compassion.
Shaun is grateful for all of his teachers including but not limited to: James Meola, Grand Master Gene L. Chicoine, Michael Lograsso, Tami Schneider, Paramahansa Yogananada, Paramahansa Prajnananda, Yogacharya Badrayu Pandya, Swami Vivekananda, Swami Rama, Mantak Chia, Phillip Belzunce, Victor Wooten, etc… the list goes on and on.
