I remember huffing and puffing in my first yoga class. I remember huffing and puffing in my most recent yoga class. Yoga is practice. It is never perfect, and it is always perfect. You are never perfect, and you are always perfect. Yoga has made me realize who I am. Within the loudness, there is stillness. Within the stillness, there is peace. And where there is peace, there is compassion.
Yoga has taught me acceptance – acceptance of myself, and acceptance of the world around me. I can only hope to become a small stepping stone on your path to peace. That is why I teach.
I wish to offer the world of yoga to my two sons, Saturn and Solomon. My wife Melinda is my breath. My students are my reward.
