Upper body strength is not a prerequisite since there are no push-ups or arm balancing postures. Even elderly people are capable of attempting every posture. There is no music. Concentration and determination are required, and the heat of the room (105-110 degrees), while a challenge in the beginning few weeks/months, will actually aid the newer student by loosening muscles. This class takes you through a series of 26 postures completed twice for 90 minutes. As a physical challenge, this class changes the body's shape, developing muscle tone and reducing inches. As a mental challenge, it combines the skills of concentration, patience and self-control to improve mental clarity and reduce stress. This class is geared to increase your energy, improve your health, and limit the effects of aging. It is suited for all ages and levels of ability. Read More About Bikram Style Hot Yoga
